Thing #4

Commenting on other people's blogs gives bloggers a sense of community and interaction because it shows that someone is actually taking the time out to read his or her material. The main point of creating a blog is so that other people can read it and give an opinion. (Others can make money off of it. =])  It is also important to comment because it can encourage the blogger themselves, because if no one comments, then it looks like no one cares, and if no one cares, then why would the blogger try to put effort into writing more.

Two things that I found interesting in the extra blog reading was the blog that said to write comments that mean something with more than one word. It does get a bit annoying and frustrating when you post a long thought out blog, and the only comment that you receive is "good" or "cool". Those are pointless responses. Another thing I read was a list of ways to get more comments. It had very  good tips like be humble, invite comments, and ask questions. This was all very helpful information.
